I am not Afraid

This video shows one of my test jumps in Taft CA. Testing video signals the pressure helmet and the chest pack telemetry but without my pressure suit. It is mainly to get used to the equipment. Right now I can't release aerial shots with the real pressure suit but I will do that soon!! Aerial photography by Luke Aikins.

Chill out Weekend

After testing the whole week I thought I need a change - so I decided to hang out on Catalina Island.
What a quiet place. Feels like a total different world. Nice people, a lot of scuba divers, tourist and people trying to escape from the big city!!
Pure nature wherever you go!!!

cheers Felix, super relaxed

Done with testing!!

What a successful day! After an intense test program we are finally done with ground preparation.
Egrass training, emergency procedure, blind cockpit checks, boldface items - in case the capsule is on fire and the list goes on and on. I am so tired- but happy.
So folks, the next time "this is for real"
Soon the whole team will move to Roswell NM for the first manned launch up to 65.000 feet or 18 kilometers. That test will give us a lot of valid information to make sure we know exactly what to expect on the BIG ONE!!!
Here is a little inside view! Please understand that we have to save the mind-blowing pictures for later ;)
have fun
Felix, tired as hell!!

Red Bull Stratos is back

to everyone out there, Red Bull Stratos is back! after month of NO communication I am finally allowed to talk about our progress in the project.
Pressure tests at Brooks Airforce Base and two successful unmanned balloon launches in Roswell NM are just a few of many milestones we have accomplished over the last couple of month.

so I really hope you all will share our exitement of the project and follow our mission to the very edge of space until it is completed!!
